Signs

MY little guy knows a ton of "signs". He signs random words all day long. But, it appears that he uses them for nothing more than "stimming".

I was so amazed and PROUD yesterday when we sat down with a book about colors, and he pointed to and signed every color correctly to me...... I am SOOOOOOOO surprised!!!!! He is one amazing kid!

What a wonderful accomplishment!

My Weird pictures!!!!!!!

I love to take pictures. I have not posted my favorite pics (yet! stay tuned I will post soon). But here are some of the strange ones that I have taken lately.

#1 was taken while my toddlers were playing bubbles, one floated right in front of my daughters face as I snapped.

#2 My daughter mad because I took out her pretty hairbows before bed. I have never seen it this wild. gotta love it!

#3 I have no idea. I don't remember taking this. Maybe my boys did. Very odd picture though.

For the past couple of weeks I had decided to ignore the allergy test that I had done on my son. I told every one( including myself) that it was because I wanted a 2nd opinion, and that it is too expensive to maintain such a strict diet. I convinced myself that maybe the test was wrong and my little one is just fine. I was wrong. As hard as it is to remove all of the wonderful foods that he does so love from his diet, it has proven to be necessary.

Since I have let him go back to eating the foods that he is allergic too, he has regressed back to autistic like behaviors, less talking and more crying. crying at school and everywhere. he is constantly reenacting the movie 'Nacho Libre', which I will admit is very cute and funny. But sometimes it seems that he has just lost himself in it. For example this morning, he just wanted to live a certain scene from that movie over and over again. He would throw chips on the floor, run out from behind a corner and squat to eat them. He would do this over and over again. Any attempts on my part to interrupt or move him on to something else lead to huge tantrums.

Last night was the worst. We decided to take the kids to a burrito type fast food restaurant for dinner. My son went into the restaurant very happy excited. I decided to take the 2 younger kids(which included him) to a table to wait while my DH and the other boys placed our orders. My son was content at the table for a while. he then lied back on my lap. I started to rub his belly. He liked it. He gazed up into to the bright lights that hung over us and suddenly started to yell 'NO! NO!', and began screaming for Daddy and one of his brothers. DH quickly sent his brother over, but it was too late. My son had pretty much lost his mind. All eyes in the restaurant were on us, and none of them looked sympathetic. I ran him outside where his melt down continued. People outside were worse than ones inside. Some teenagers were making comments, and an old man found us quite entertaining and stood and laughed at us. I soon realized that I was locked out of my car, and there was no escape. I knew that I had to runback inside and disturb the happily eating people to get my keys. Once again all eyes on us...... I quickly grabbed my keys, and ran, my son in arms, to my car. I sat in the car and cried while he screamed his head off. My DH was very kind and packed all of the food and kids up. we ended up eating at home while my dear son screamed in the living room. Finally, Daddy offered him a drink and called him 'Nacho'. MY son laughed and all was well.

I'm Alive!!!!!!!!!!

I know that it seems that I fell off of the Blogger planet...... I did. I am sorry.

Things got so hectic. I gave up home schooling and sent all of my kids to school. I thought that it might be a little easier. but, now I drive all day long.... grrrrr. the truth is, it is a little easier, and I get some extra time with my wee little ones. I love it.

My 3 year old, who I suspected had Autism, has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS. MY 7 year old shares this same diagnosis. I am sad that some things are such a struggle for them, but I am so grateful that they have each other. I am also extremely grateful that I have them, They are such wonderful children. The lord has truly blessed me with exceptional spirits.

MY 3 year old, loves Nacho Libre. He likes to act out scenes from the movie. the scene in this movie is his most favorite. I hope that you enjoy it.
